Job Description - PMO Project Manager
As Project Manager within People’s Strategy team you will deliver Project Management methodologies and expertise within Retail People, especially in its ongoing collaboration with the wider Retail organization. As an expert of project management execution, your contribution will include managing and leading highly complex, strategic, and sometimes global projects for Retail People.
In the role of PM, you are accountable for the planning, execution and success of People-specific projects, which directly impact the People org or key focus areas. Key steps to this work include : initiation and discovery, facilitation, execution, communication and stakeholder management. And finally measurement and review. You will provide the critical strategy and long term structure for strategic, sometimes multi-year projects. You will also provide project oversight and timelines for any cross-functional projects involving multiple partners, which impact varied business groups. In this capacity you would support the work and success of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in their responsibility to fulfill a project’s mandate and achieve its deliverables.

Description
• Deep expertise and skills in global strategic project management
• Accountable for the culture of PM, and advocating PM fundamentals across the organization
• Plan and partner on the execution of Retail People related projects, including execution of strategic projects originated by RPLT
• Key partner and role model to Functional PMs and Corporate People Team
• Deliver end-to-end PM processes autonomously, including planning and allocating resources, as well as risk, time, budget, and quality management, working across teams, monitoring and reporting, documentation, and record keeping
• Lead critical initiatives on behalf of Retail People, such as FY Priorities alongside long-term strategic programs over multiple years
• Execute on new strategic projects within Retail People, where multiple People functions are affected
• Identify priority projects and their assignment by leveraging newly designed intake process
• Lean into expert relational skills and managing of the work between stakeholders, partners, and leadership, to ensure key deliverables are met on time and to budget
• Structure communication and meeting cadence, and drive plans across diverse teams
• Collaborate with team and business partners (both live and virtual) globally to accomplish objectives across varied and different international conditions
• Understand, empathize, and skillfully operate with diverse working styles and cultures
• Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data (leverage root cause identification measures) to ensure the right work is being engaged
• Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, and governance structures
• Identify and monitor key measures to ensure project completion
• Negotiate outcomes with consideration towards varying goals and priorities
• Escalate issues about the project to management when necessary and advocate for responsible solutions to project problems
• Listen and create a collaborative environment across many different disciplines with varying degrees of functional experience; 
• Provide clear, concise and appropriate communication to senior management, business partners, and peers across Retail People and wider People teams

Additional
• 5+ years Project Management experience
• Proven success effectively implementing People programs, initiatives, tools, and processes
• Project Management certification ideal
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
